"You cannot be whatever you want. Love isn't real and Christmas is not magical like it use to be." An album about coming into your adult mind. Brogan really spills his inner thoughts (you know, the inner thoughts we all that have that make us question our sanity and eventual happiness? yeah those).

The intro to Don't Exist puts the biggest smile on my face. The song is a journey with its themes of changing as life progresses, Beatles references, and 5/4 chants. The fact that it all comes together so coherently is amazing. Don't Exist functions as a sort of anthem for everything In Medias Res is trying to accomplish, making it the perfect centerpiece. The album clocks in just under 40 minutes and yet, I feel like they accomplish so much with their beautiful passages, lively guitar lines, and heartfelt and honest vocals. These lyrics paint such a hopeless picture that strangely is complimented, or rather countered by music as bright sounding as this. I am not kidding when I say this is the musical equivalent to sunshine with all of these beautifully executed ideas and sing-along moments, but still, the tone in the lyrics feels hopeless, almost apathetic, and yet so very conscious of the world. In Medias Res, being pmtoday's last album didn't even get a proper sendoff until a while after the band broke up. If it wasn't for their other project, Move Orchestra, it would really go to signify how real these lyrics were to the band, but instead, I'm glad they still have a drive in them to showcase their musical talents. rpmtoday has crafted one of the most important albums that I have ever listened to and I think this is an album that will greatly resonate with those who are still trying to find their place.

I came into listening to this band with very low expectations. They were the opener at a concert I was going to, but I still wanted to look up a few songs just to know what they sounded like. The first song I heard by them, Don't Exist, blew me away. After that, I was hooked. This album is so passionate, musically talented, and original that it has quickly become one of my favorite albums of all time. The lyrics are deep and emotional. The guitars are complex and original. Even the rythym section is spectacular. Needless to say, PMtoday's sophomore release has a level of talent and confidence that some bands never reach. Every song is beautifully executed with instrumental and vocal harmonies reminiscent of a punk-rock Queen. To cap this off, I'll just say again that this album is immensely talented, catchy, and an extremely promising release from a terrific band.
