| 3.5 great | Antonius | April 20th 25 | The latest work from the Canadian duo The Blue Stones, is a concept album that takes the listener through the lonesome journey on a dark and dystopian subway, whereby the protagonist explores the darker side of emotions and experiences. Metro reminds the early works of Cage The Elephant and Royal Blood, as the rhythmic combination of punchy drums and fuzzed-out guitars create a melting pot of rock and blues. Predominantly, the album has two types of tracks: the bouncy/vibrant/buzzy ones and the more straightforward, darker ones. I found this the most interesting release since their debut album, 8 years ago. Tony recommends: "Come Apart", "Falling Leaves", "Your Master", "Lose My Name", "New Immigrant".
