There's no back of a guy's head on this cover, are we SURE this is really ADTR??

I'd say at least 75% of this is objectively good material. Unfortunately, 75% of this also sounds like it was recorded with a broken mic and then ran through 7 of the shittiest filters known to man. Overall, sounds more like a standard post-BMTHitis metalcore album with the occasional ADTR-esque bit, but that doesn't bad music make, as the result is competent and catchy aside from the production and mixing. Lyrically? Too much time spent saying "fuck you" to critics and naysayers in the most wannabe-urbanite-teenager syntax available to aging metalcorers. Not amazing, not terrible, pretty fun listen. If you like or have ever liked this band or genre at all, scores below 3.0 are purely reactionary and should be discarded as such.

Singles they released are the weakest tracks. But haters gonna hate. This is their best since common courtesy. Flowers, Closer than you think, Same Team, Silence, To the death all slap

Big ole pile of shit, this time its semi solid unlike the liquid
shit that Your Welcome.

So congrats you beat the diarrhea ADTR! However you will always
have the shits because you cant get over the mean people of the
internet telling your new material sucks. Lyrically this is
pathetic repetitive and whining about critisicm. Musically its
just the normal poppy metalcore that they have been coasting on
for years without improvement or evolution.

Now lets get to the
biggest problem: a physical release first before digital,
normally this wouldnt be a problem. However after the train wreck
of their last album, the bitching about critics. This reeks of
taking peoples money before they can get rinsed by
listeners.Flowers is passable

A Day to Remember's "Big Ol' Album Volume 1" is absolutely a step-up from "You're Welcome", something I scored a 2 but probably should've been a 1.5. On an initial listen, it sounds so refreshingly decent that it was maybe a 3.5 or 4 territory here, but I usually like to give albums a month or so's time to see how it ages. After a few listens, the cracks start to show and certain tracks start to become static noise while still containing a few gems. 'Flowers', 'Bad Blood', 'To The Death', and 'Same Team' are probably the only standouts here save for 'Miracle', but that was a song recorded years ago that they decided to fill time with on this one. Look, credit where credit's due here, this is absolutely the step in the right direction. "Big Ol' Album Vol 1" succeeds on that alone.
