Messa's The Spin is more focused on the gothic doom (or doomy gothic) soundscape, with less foray into psychy or jazzy stuff (although they still exist). That doesn't mean this isn't as gripping as Close; on the contrary, the songwriting is upped a notch to deliver gothic doom banger after doom gothic banger.
