The final two songs seal this as their best album. Each band member overacheiving in their rrole. This will have long-term replay value - I will spend hours listening to each instrument r(starting with the drums of course...wow). Can't wait until the singer's poetic lyrics are ravailable so I can enjoy this even more. Hope this band keeps going for a long time.

a great illustration of how this band's

fanboys who are no less sycophantic or

listening to again.

Phenomenal album. This really feels like the logical (and successful) next evolution to Deafheaven's sound from New Bermuda. Not a minute wasted on this album, with every band member shining at every chance.

Allow me to be the first to say it - this band absolutely sucks. I?ve previewed just about
everything from them recently in
light of the Sputnik bandwagon, but the reality is it?s fake black, no melody, no heavy,
lukewarm and accessible
depressive trash and this band now stands pretty much alone at the top of the Sputnik
overrated charts. For the sake of balance, it takes a 1. Listen to better music, seek
triumph. Nothing worse than fake black. Get off
the bandwagon kiddos, it doesn?t lead anywhere good.
And makes sense it has such a high review. SPUTNIK DOES NOT LET YOU RATE THIS A 1 or
1.5!!!!!!!!! Its a fake!!!!!!!!! I rated this a 1 and a 1.5 and it just says “No” even
though it’s already been released and makes you give it at least a 2! Man censorship really
taking off lol. This is bullshite!!!

Deafheaven's best album by an incredibly large margin. They crunched the numbers and managed to take the best elements of all of their prior offerings and inject them with steroids. rThe compositions are off the fucking chain, the vocals are nasty, and the reverb is bricked to the fucking tits.

Less experimental and adventurous than prior albums, but it makes up for that with tight writing and impressive, thrilling instrumentals. They really doubled down on overall production and each song feels transcendent, even in the heaviest moments. It?s definitely amongst their best material to date. Winona and The Marvelous Orange Tree remind me so much of tracks from Sunbather, ending this album with an impressive one-two punch. Can?t wait to put this on repeat for the foreseeable future

You probably live under a rock if you don't know generally what Deafheaven sounds like as they masterfully combine black metal, shoe gaze and post metal/rock in a true wall of sound that will pique the attention of nearly any listener. As someone who puts 'Sunbather' up there as a true modern classic 5/5 album it is very interesting to see the general reception of this record. Maybe their 2012 masterpiece was truly just too early for the ears of the general music community. For my ears, this record touches on the Sunbather sound but lacks the true atmosphere and staying power of the 2012 release. A very good album, some great rhythm riff additions and awesome energy but its hard to not wanna just go back and listen to Sunbather.

Deafheaven once again changing the face of black metal for the better. Not the glowing pink spire that is Sunbather, but richly darkened with the gloomgaze they showcased on Infinite Granite to be a perfect amalgamation of what the band's always been trying to make: cityscape metal with both fresh and nostalgic bents.

By far my fave from them. I was always more of a New Bermuda guy, against the endless crescendos songwriting from Sunbather(not a bad album imo). Also liked Infinite Granite. This is the perfect balance from their previous works. Amethyst, Magnolia, Revelator, Body Behaviour are inctedible songs.
