Not the direction you wanted them to go in but this is what we got. There's some decent hooks here but vocally I am not super interested. Might bump up to a 3 but I dont think so.

It's not quite 2000s emo-pop explosion level, but the 2020s hardcore-pop (imma call it like that and we'll see about the veracity of that tag later) resurgence sure is hitting hard (Glow On still AOTD). Scowl are at the forefront of that scene with their grunge-infused, alt-rock adjacent take on hardcorish punk. Gotta say they lean a tad too much on the grungy/alt-rock side without having the songwriting chops to back it up (unlike Militarie Gun), and Are We All Angels confirms that with one half of banging songs and one half of aight ones.
