Not innovative but a nice return to form, dropping the overbearing 'epicness' and embracing their darker side and focus on riffs again.

This band used to be decent in the earlier years but whenever they decided to start glorifying pathetic clean laden choruses that show up abundantly in the genre, it was a directional change that has destroyed them. They really haven't been good for awhile and parts of this remind me of Parkway Drive in the worst way possible. In one ear and out the other. The few good moments are not memorable enough to carry this or beg for repeated listens really.

Desperately want to support my country men but this is bland and average as all the albums since era have been, can hardly tell each song apart and what sucks the most is their early albums especially empire showed a band with such promise.

I gave this album 3 listens before posting this. I am sad to say that this is Average at best and almost a regression. The songs make you feel like something is about to happen, but it never does ? and they end up feeling very repetitive.
