| 4.5 superb | Faraudo | March 21st 25 | Their leanest, most straight-to-the-point effort to date. Could also be their best.

| 1.0 awful | Tundra (Sput Villain) | July 3rd 25 | Just another example of death metal going too pretentiously up its own arse for its own good. When all you want are incoherent song structures, dissonant guitars, cavernous wall of noise, at what point does it become too much. Apparently for a lot of death metal fans the skies the limit. Fuck that. Goldstar is for bored 50-something uncles and no one else.

| 4.5 superb | Peatrick33 | March 21st 25 | They kind of lost me with their last couple of albums but this is such a triumphant (heyo!) return to form. Easily some of the best material they've ever put out.

| 4.1 excellent | Erwann S. EMERITUS | March 24th 25 | On Goldstar, Imperial Triumphant once again prove that luxury and decay are two sides of the same coin. Drenched in their signature blend of jazz-infused avant-garde dissoblackenedeath, the album revels in grotesque opulence, painting a sonic landscape as dazzling as it is putrid. The band's critique of unchecked capitalism and societal rot is more palpable than ever, with towering riffs collapsing into nightmarish brass arrangements, evoking the sound of a high-society gala crumbling into madness - a dizzying descent into the excesses of the elite, where wealth gleams like a golden mask over something rotten underneath.

| 4.5 superb | Robert Davis | March 21st 25 | Crikey, what a trip this was. Really enjoyed the last album too but this one seems to have a real cohesion to it and really makes your brain dance (that's what it felt like anyway).

| 4.5 superb | Comatorium. | March 21st 25 | Yeah this is gonna be metal aoty and I don?t see anything topping this avant garde masterwork.
Ok maybe it’s not THAT good but these are good songs and they fucked live.

| 4.0 excellent | cjbizzlebizzle | July 24th 25 | At this stage Imperial Triumphant have been at the forefront of experimental/avant-garde dissonant death metal for the better part of a decade and in that time have solidified one of, if not the best signature sounds in that realm. Elements of jazz and death metal combine to create something nuclear greater than the sums of its parts birthing a disturbing, mysterious and surreal atmosphere. This band transports the listener to another world as well as any out there right now with songs that traverse highly aggressive metal sections before relaxing into grooved akin to putting Gorguts on stage at a local jazz club. Doesn't quite reach the heights of Vile Luxuries but still an excellent album from a band you simply shouldn't ignore if you are interested in music as an art form.

| 3.0 good | Santa Koopa | March 22nd 25 | in a world of overinflated dissoderp proscrastinations stands one band that knows how to make the genre fairly interesting instead of just relying on pedal effects
