no clean vocals, no ballads. fantastic old school whitechapel throughout the album, full of unhinged screams and chunky guitars.

Now this is deathcore done right. Lorna Shore should take note and look up to this album as an example that dropping a
mic in a pigpen doesnt equal a good vocal performance- being a sick vocalist does.

As an album, maybe this is a bit less exciting compared to Kin and The Valley, two very very thoughtful, well written and mature albums. But going back to basics, this is the best possible scenario. It sounds like This Is Exile, but super tight and standard-setting heavy. There isn?t a weak song here, and the structuring and performances are fantastic. There is a part of me that wants to see them evolve further beyond Kin, but if they?re going to focus on heavy, it doesn?t get much more solid than this

This shit is EVIL. I loved The Valley and Kin, and I even loved Our Endless War and Mark of the Blade, but this is on a whole different level. The kings are back.

Super chunky old-style Whitechapel, exactly as promised. It is kind of comical and some will call it regressive to hear Phil go back to egregious Satan and murder lyrics after approaching somewhat more "mature" themes on The Valley and Kin, but as a MySpace deathcore kid it's also hard to deny this slaps.
