0.0 | Meatplow | August 1st 09 | Everything promising which KMFDM had been threatening on their previous releases certainly came to a head with Nihil, with a stronger emphasis on harder edged metal then the EBM of old (though that side is still very prominent) the album has a fast paced punk/thrash influence over its gothic electronics which makes it feel a little bit like Skinny Puppy meets Anthrax at times. Nihil is a whirlwind that doesn't let up for it's entire duration, and is one of the greatest industrial albums of its era.

4.5 superb | Jared Floryan | October 10th 14 | Somewhere near the land of rape and honey existed a German band who's put out more albums than a mutant woman has given birth to mechanical infants. Nihil, one of KMFDM's various studio releases, is one twisted fucker of an effort filled with Sascha Konietzko's compelling vocals backed up by frenzied synthesizers and other kinetic effects which speak to the penis as much as they talk to the heart. It's hard not to respect anything about the pulsating tracks that make up the record, that's for sure.

what? KMFDM falls into this lump. As shocking and interesting as their gazillion albums
might be, hardly any of them are worthwhile. Thankfully, though, Nihil is completely
different. For KMFDM's sake, the sound on their albums have barely gone through any
transition; they've stayed the typical electro tinged Industrial rock for years now. But
even though Nihil is just like this (standard KMFDM), it is by far bulked up more and
advanced. There are more catchy, positively uplifting choruses here, shredding
instrumentation, and fun lyrics that are superior to other KMFDM albums. What a fantastic
album, it's my favorite and sadly only favorite by the band.

5.0 classic | weepingwillowdown | August 19th 08 | Finally everything you ever wanted to hear in a KMFDM cd. Disobedience is probably my favorite tune and Beast second. Not to metion it's singles Juke Joint Jezebel and Brute. This is easily one of the top industrial records of the 1990's even better than the downward spiral for the simple reason that it's a mope album but can still rock on!

5.0 classic | mando | June 21st 06 | This is by far the best KMFDM album ever. With heavy guitar and quirky electronics you can't go wrong. Everything from the dancy Juke-Joint Jezebel to the all out metal of Flesh is a masterpeice. KMFDM sounds like no other. You have to hear Ultra or Brute to know. Next to this I would recommend Symbols and Angst. The 3 albums from the "golden" era of KMFDM.(94-97)
