The French occultists one more time that they're one of the most consistent bands within the extreme metal scene. Their sludgy atmoblack seems to never stop displaying maelstromic descents into Lovecraftian lows.

I once again find myself grasping at the "cool moments" on a Great Old Ones album rather than the whole set. Once again their work becomes a bit of a mush with a distinct section or two on each track that is worth rewinding, but then is also sandwiched between generally unsurprising, dime-a-dozen bloat of occult black metal. I loved their stuff once, I tire of it now. The problem might be me.
