I love the fact that Ratt sounds so energized on the opening cuts - namely "Eat Me Up Alive" and "Best Of Me". As the album wears on, Stephen Pearcy's limitations as a vocalist (and a lyricist) become more than obvious. "Take Me Home" is so wobbly that it sounds like a demo that they included because they ran out of material. I really wanted to like this more, but this is just average Ratt overall.

This is another one of those neo-cock rock albums that's surprisingly good. But it's got some of the worst lyrics ever:
"You kinda like me and I like that.
You got me grinning like a Cheshire cat."
"What do you get when you've got the best
The best woman in this wild, wild west
She's got me smiling from coast to coast
A year from now we're still goin' for broke."

Could have easily come out between their first two CD's in the 80's. GREAT stuff.
