I find that Black Curse have trouble managing their own heaviness. The utter oppression of every possible dimension is present second in second out, but at no point does it mature enough to obtain shape. Whatever legible form can be discerned is often cleared up only through intense labour of the listener. Not that music should not be challenging, but this often seemed downright unnecessarily difficult.

Black Curse just pushed their war metal approach to 11 - while this definitely rips, I feel like they lost some of the groovy dynamics that made the first album stand out.
