3.5 great | legitimusmaximus | May 29th 11 | not as good as fight with tools, and not perfect, but terribly underrated and still well worth checking out if you liked any of flobots' other stuff

4.0 excellent | rdrummer3 | June 4th 10 | This review itself has a more condescending vibe to it; maybe in disagreement with their at-times bold message.
I do agree about some of the lyrics and the vocal recordings being more monotonous. However, I believe, instrumentally, the songwriting is better and more developed than Fight With Tools. Also, the Violist's parts are more prominent and well done.
Also, its nice to see that they're actively doing something with their message, having started their own inner city non-profit community organization, Fight With Tools, while at the same time not being millionaire/billionaire artists.

0.0 | Bitchfork | May 1st 10 | Flobots have ditched their almost inventive stlye of hip-hop for a more industrial fervor. Instead of electric paradise, we listeners get trite political messages like "White Flag Warrior" which is unfortunately probably the best track on the album.

4.0 excellent | TheTarbet | April 25th 10 | This album really gets great after you listen to the second half. Yes, it is not as mainstream as Fight With Tool, and they also tried too hard to make of a Rock aspect, but the enjoyable chill is still around.
The band has a message of change that they stand behind, so do not expect them to change how they feel from album to album. They are not attacking the Government, like Fight With Tools did, but they want change in society.
This means that we can change, and not expect the country to. This change will be slow at first, but over time we can make a better country for our youth.

1.5 very poor | AggravatedYeti | April 12th 10 | Robin Smith doesn't like my sound off.
This album is the definition of garbage indie-hop.

4.0 excellent | ProjectOfFailure | March 18th 10 | I don't understand the hate, really. It's not brilliant, but I really enjoy it. Fun to chill out and relax to.

0.0 | Bulldog | March 15th 10 | What the hell is this? A DJ Khaled album? Flobots' attempt to put a touch of "epicness" on this album, fails - in an ironic way - epicly. In addition, I find the emceeing to be really uncomfortable, amateur, and terrible. Moreover, the largely rock-based instrumentals just make matters worse for me, but goddammit, they also throw a trumpet and a violin in there, and sh*t gets messed up. Not a good album...not a good album at all. I was never very partial to their summer jam "Handlebars" but this is just over-the-top bad.
