3.5 great | cjbizzlebizzle | December 30th 24 | This mixtape/compilation shows a hell of a lot of potential for Doechii. As one usually expects with a mixtape you get some great highs and some forgettable tracks and here most fall on the good to great side of the spectrum. 'Nissan Altima' is the obvious standout banger and one of the better hip hop songs of the year but 'Denial is a River' shows how Doechii can get personal and introspective while still captivating the listener. A good mix of energetic, quirky, funny and serious vibes and an artist I hope to see pop up in the future.

3.0 good | SalteyBacon | February 3rd 25 | I enjoyed this a lot - while it is a mixtape, I felt like she could have saved some of these beats for a full LP as the production is well done. She displayed a lot of versatility on this project and will be eager to hear more if it drops on the next few years.

3.4 great | Erwann S. STAFF | December 2nd 24 | This tape from a TDE rookie feels just like that: a tape (featuring many different cool rap and soul things with little to no coherence from one song to another) from a TDE rookie (those Kendrick/ScHoolboyQ/Ab-Soul influences sure are crystal clear). To be refined, but deffo cool shit.

4.0 excellent | ajcollins15 | September 5th 24 | The building blocks for the newest breakout rap artist. Doechii is one of the newest members of the dying Top Dog Records. But that doesn?t mean there isn?t something breathtaking being crafted here from Doechii. For such a simple souther hip hop record the amount of nuance and intricate use of book bap and trap makes for a really enjoyable listen. The biggest issue I have is the record doesn?t have enough staying power by the end to keep you fully engaged for the nearly hour run time.
