Girls' frontman delivers a poignant indie rock record with dashes of dreamy psychedelism and earthy yeehawism. It's very pretty, but a slightly middling middle section hurts the flow of an otherwise melancholically great record.

What I liked a lot about this album is just how effortlessly sensual yet naive it all sounds, where even its quaintest moments strike of cool and its rowdy cuts have a sliver of juvenile messiness.
