Yknow what, this is the best generic metal record that's come out this year. They attempt to
do nothing new, there's so many clean choruses, and it's a clear attempt at breaking into
the mainstream. And yet, I'm compelled. It's the metal equivalent of mac and cheese:
inoffensive and comforting, maybe a little bland, but you find yourself craving it every
once in a while.

Spun this at the gym this morning and had one of the better workouts I've had in awhile. Album definitely rips.

Will have to have a few listens to rate this properly. I feel like this is them having their last crack at making it big. On first impressions I actually thought it sounds pretty good for what it is, which is a mash of the current most popular mainstream metalcore acts. Add the old school deathcore vocals from their earlier best albums and an absolute truck load of electronic elements bordering on being influenced by the prodigy, a catchy female led chorus and you have the whole album. There are some stand out tracks and some bang average tracks. rIf you are looking for something comparable to Neverbloom or Old Souls which imo are two of the best deathcore albums ever made, you will definitely be disappointed. If you have an open mind it's decent. Probably will settle on a 3-3.5.

i like it but was hoping more for the type of energy contraband had. this is a good safe album, not very risky

This does a little more for me than their last album did, however, I'm struggling to feel as if this is the next step I desire from the band. Everything is streamlined, perhaps to a fault, and it's not that it necessarily doesn't work, but everything feels a bit more flat than usual.

A great album but it seems stuck between worlds of indecision. The album lacks a holistic cohesion with a lot energy. The vocals and instrumentation are great but would love to see them delve deeper into their metalcore with more breakdowns or solos, rather than leaning so heavily on the clean chorus. The clean vocals are a great accompaniment to the fantastic screamed vocals, they just seem to be used as a safety net, rather than soaring with them.
