This is my first introduction to Phantom Handshakes and I have to say I?m very enthralled in the minimal and atmospheric dream pop vibe the band is creating. It has a very ethereal wave and almost a dreamwave vibe to it with the way the guitars and synthesizers are processed. But the vocals ring right through it all. My biggest problem with the album however is how one-note it all is. Every track is like the last and although the vibes are strong, I don?t think this style holds up for the whole 30-plus minute listening experience.
