Bilmuri's "AMERICAN MOTOR SPORTS" will forever be cemented as the soundtrack of Summer 2024. It's got everything that a listener would want for those evening-drives into the sunset, with glorious saxophone leads coexisting with catchy guitar riffs, choruses, and complementary drums. Songs like 'TALKIN' 2 UR GHOST' evoke a Duncan Sheik-90's style alternative anthem, and 'STRAIGHT THROUGH YOU' is as exciting as it is mellow. Yet, there's fun to be had here with a clear metalcore influence such as in opener 'BETTER HELL' and 'SPINNIN' YOU AROUND'. It's an all-around recommended album to really anyone; it's an album that has at least one song that someone could gel to.

I don't like being a bum, but I can barely enjoy this ironically. Scene kids will do anything but admit they like the same spoon-fed pop everyone else does, lol. When it gets jumpier it's enjoyable. That being said I didn't exactly knew what I was signing up for going into this, the whole Attack Attack background makes it make sense.

I can understand the hatred Bilmuri gets, his style of music is a bit all-over-the-place. On his newest album, Bilmuri shows a continuation and deepening into the country pop style. We get the heaviness of easycore and alternative metal with the cringy twang of bro-country and country pop. For the back half of the album, this idea kind of flourishes, but the front half indulges too much and looses itself. Definitely give it a try if you want some heavy country music, but otherwise can easily be missed.

I am very much a modern pop country (and country-rap, and in this case country-metal) apologist, but Franck just doesn't cut it for me as a pop songwriter (at least as far as lyrics go). The production is solid enough, but I feel like the ideal execution would be Franck handling instrumentals/production and Hardy (and the Big Loud camp) handling vocals and lyrics for a full album.
