| 1.5 very poor | JimmyPopAli | October 10th 24 | The Offspring complete their transition into a bad parody of themselves. Between completely castrated guitar riffs, cartoonish vocals, and some of the worst lyrics of their long career, this newest album serves as another geriatric pop-punk disappointment.

I'm always lenient n optimistic on albums emphasizing strengths n whatever said artist/band did right... n also I find 'cringe' n 'edge' (ex-'pretentious' terminology) to be too often applied to shit left n right but... yea the former term 'cringe' or maybe just 'bewildered' is goin hard on this one from the 1st note... this might outdo Father of All Motherfuckers in the abysmal chili hookoff - it takes dubious talent to achieve this, so hats off there guys. hope you're happy navigating the ocean floor

| 3.0 good | Antonius | October 30th 25 | Following the disastrous Let the Good Times Roll , the punk rockers' latest album finds them fired up and trying to find their rhythm in order to get back in business. With the typical upbeat rhythms, pop-infused hooks and Holland's whiney vocals, Supercharged shows a significant improvement from its predecessor in various layers such as production and overall song quality. The album starts strongly with the typical Offspring punk style rock before taking a pop/punk-Blink 182-Sum 41 twist. There are cases where the band borrows from its past (most notably, the similarity in the chorus of 'The Fall Guy' and 'The Kids Aren't Alright') but also moments of beguiling garnishing (unanticipated riff from Kansas' 'Carry On Wayward Son during 'Get Some', or the Master-of-Puppet-esque riffage in 'Come to Brazil') with their classic sense of humor appearing here and there. After 40 years, the Offspring is still smashing it and I still wonder why this is such an under-rated band. Recommendations: "Hanging By A Thread", "The Fall Guy", "Looking Out For #1", "Truth In Fiction"r

| 2.0 poor | Trey STAFF | November 14th 24 | Back in the day there was this thing called "high speed dubbing". You used it to copy one cassette tape to another tape. You literally had to let the source material play while the other tape copied it in real time. High speed dubbing sped up the playing so that you could copy stuff quicker. A side effect of that is that it made the music (and especially the vocals) higher pitched during the recording process. I feel like that's what I'm listening to here, and that if we could just slow it down to standard speed we'd find the next Goo Goo Dolls album.

| 3.0 good | FrozenFirebug | October 11th 24 | this is better than let the bad times roll by a fair margin but it seems dexter has prostate cancer or somethin and is taking testosterone inhibitors for it cause holy fuck he sounds like a chipmunk even moreso than on that record. anyway im marginally drunk and need to take a shit and that combination paired with the vocal sample on make it all right being poorly mixed is kinda pissing me off, but yeah the material isn't terrible, it's just dexter's prostate and vocal chords have been crushed by a sledgehammer in a whammy attack & the production is stupid. why is he called bob rock when he can't produce rock? why do bands throw money at people over and over who continually mess up their records? is it money laundering? a humiliation ritual? bad record label nepotism? are they addicted to self destruction? is it punk to sound like shit even if it's not in a shitty punk kinda way? these are the mysteries... anyway use that PHD mind & eat some pumpkin seeds instead dex bro please big pharma is killin your voice
