This is Rancid's fastest, grittiest, and heaviest album thus far. You know right from the opening track, "Don Giovonni" that you're in for a ride. This is my favorite Rancid album simply because I can't find one bad song in it. I find it perfect in every way.

Rancid 2000 was Rancid's attempt at hardcore punk, and they pulled it off. Tim Armstrong's raspy voice feels right at home with the edgy guitars and flying bass. Lars Fredricksen's shouts also fits the music. Everything just seems to fit into place, which can't easily be said about a band fronted by Armstrong. In my opinion, this was Rancid at their best.
