Heartbreaking: 7/10 post-punk act you enjoyed and subsequently forgot about just released a middling alt rock record. Millions dead.

You will fall into one of two camps: A. This album is their big hitter where they really show just how good a band they are, or B. This album is a boring slog that undoes so much of the personality laid out on the previous releases.

Confirming they're one of the biggest rock bands right now, Fontaines D.C. slightly let go of their gothic vibe to fully embrace their more commercial, britpop linings - and boy does it work at crafting bangers my dad wouldn't believe were released in the past month.
