The Sco'ish duo keeps the spoken wordy post-punky indietronica formula they had laid out on their 2021 comeback record. The social commentaries oscillate between astute and boomery (that was to be expected) and the soundscape sure stays interesting - but the songs didn't have the same impact on me as As Days Get Dark's.
