3.5 great | Gene Gol-Jonsson CONTRIBUTOR | March 22nd 24 | Jlin's resident defender here to clarify that this album slaps in a way that a drywall feels on your skin. In that, that's what it set out to achieve and that's what it got done. On the other hand, the features I feel like weren't utilised to their full extent. When you have Bjork, Kronos Quartet, and Philip fucking Glass on the record and I could not discern them, that's a tad misstep. Still, enjoyed the heck out of this one.

2.8 good | Erwann S. STAFF | March 22nd 24 | Another confirmation that Jlin is an artist I respect more than I appreciate. Their jiggity rhythms sure carry enough playfulness for me to notice, but not enough for me to fully engage with them.
