Phew finally Washington released a record that wasn't self-indulging in those classically dragging Kamasi meanderings. It still does (obvs), but to a much lesser extent.

Kamasi is just phenomenal. I never get tired of his pieces and the more modernistic hip-hop and electronic touches are an interesting addition to "Fearless Movement". Hat tip to Ronald Bruner and Tony Austin who drum their asses off here.
