So much for being a post-punk/post-hardcore hybrid. Still not perfect, The Automatic demonstrated their style in their first album where they were essentially post-punk a la Futureheads and Franz Ferdinand but with screaming and keyboards. Here, the screaming is ditched so now we get a mediocre Futureheads wannabe band that does nothing for the listener except be forgotten.
