| 4.5 superb | the comfort of home | February 22nd 10 | A beautiful EP with haunting lyrics, interesting guitar lines, really solid vocal performances and wonderful production. It's a shame this band had to break up, because they showed a lot of promise on this and the LP released after. Even if you have no desire to listen to this record, you have to hear their take on Bruce Cockburn's "Pacing the Cage," which is among the greatest covers ever recorded.

| 3.5 great | Bedex | January 12th 25 | Undeniably very well crafted indiemo that doesn't do very much for me but that I respect, especially with it being a debut EP. The bookends are the most interesting tracks to me, being a bit more memorable, atmospheric, and displaying good dynamics. 2-4 are fairly solid songs, but the record does suffer from that one syndrome where the vocalist says a lot of words and you know you're expected to read the lyrics, which I don't tend to like. Solid, might jam again, might not, but a couple tracks to retain regardless. 3.55
