Permalight hits the most consistent notes in a Rogue Wave album, mixing the lo-Fi catchiness and indie pop rhythms shine in this thoughtful album.

The album has some sweet spots, but for the most part the album is just okay. Rogue wave managed to stick out a little bit more than they did on their last album, but not by much.

Really enjoying this one. While I think Solitary Gun my be this albums best track, I can not get the chorus to Permalight out of my head...it's fine for now, we'll see how I feel after a few hours of this. Get this album if you have not yet. Well worth the $.

Rogue Wave lose the charm of their last release and take a page out of the book Passion Pit wrote last year. That being said, there are a few gems on here worth hearing, mainly "Solitary Gun."
