I had never even seen a shooting star before. 25 years of rotations, passes through comets'
paths, and travel, and to my memory I had never witnessed burning debris scratch across the
night sky. Taylor Swift was hunched over her instrument. I stared entranced, soaking in her
new material, chiseling each sound into the best functioning parts of my brain which would
be the only sound system for the material for months.

Another album of same-sounding, midtempo synth pop songs (I dont't think they deserve to be
called bops) followed up by 15 same-sounding, midtempo piano ballads - Riveting. While I
will concede there are some decent tracks in here, self editing and some trimming would have
done this album wonders. Not every song that gets written needs to be released.
