Generic deathcore done right. This CD kicks some major ass and is loads of fun

Hey so you know you three things I hated our debut? It wasn't about partying, didn't have enough breakdowns, and didn't sound enough like As I Lay Dying! Oh and you know how the vocals were pretty fantastic, well I just talked to Tim Lambesis and he made me realize that they suck! So drummer, you stay awesome and the rest of us are just gonna get wasted and hardcore dance? Deal? Mediocre break!

Very big step both musically and lyrically from their debut "Silences Are Words" In simple terms, NOPS is a very coherent and fun album. Most of the songs are about parties or drinking or something of the sort, so you know that this a metal album you need to get on your feet to.

Nightmare on Providence Street is definitely one of my favorite albums, when they released
Silence Are Words I thought "Well, it's decent, but nothing I can get too caught up on" and
My expectations for this album were relatively low, until I listened to it.
It really blew me away, with brutal riffs. breakdowns swaying to a melodic end with The New
Year, I have to say, if Metalcore has a masterpiece, this is definitely it!
Blind Witness, I'm ready for more!

Lyrics are crap and instrumentally it tends to exploit a very limited number of tricks on and on again and yet those lead guitar licks here and there convince me to come back every time. Most certainly it stays on the better side of the deathcore genre for me personally, all things considered.

Nightmare on Providence Street starts out promising but then it just drags on after the 4th song. The guitar work is very repetitive , just the same generic Metalcore riff , followed by generic Breakdown , followed by dramatic pentatonic solo with HEAVY ABUSE OF THE DELAY PEDAL. The vocals are'nt bad I guess but get somewhat irritating after a few songs , only thing that remains good throughthe whole album are the drums.
