Lots of cool ideas here and a ton of potential that the band has not quite tapped into yet. The whole thing just flows awkwardly even though it's almost always enjoyable. They are clearly just throwing things against the wall right now to see what sticks, so it's hard to fault them for what feels like a necessary step in their evolution. I'm excited to see if they tighten things up for their next release.

Breakmetalcore or metalbreakcore? Either way, this is Frontierer and Vein.fm's little bro, and while it doesn't show as many songwriting skills as its siblings, its competency is strong enough to be promising.

It?s heavy, it?s in your face, it?s expansive, and it has touches of breakcore in it. I really love what Fromjoy did on their 2023 release, its why that release was my favorite album of the year. Fallingwithscissors is another version of that but instead of using vaporwave aesthetics, this band is doing a much more drum and bass style. I also really love the use of alternative metal riffs on various tracks. Definitely an EP to check out if you want some experimental and explosive metalcore.
