Excellent EP, such a amazing progression of sound for Persefone and makes you crave for a part 2!
Feels like the best of all previous albums here while still showing progression towards a more
focused and mature sound from when they started. New singer may feel a little awkward for old
school fans of Persefone but he grows on you and is a fantastic fit! I am eagerly awaiting part 2
and already am putting this EP on repeat!

The metal band hailing from Andorra persists in a trend of uncertainty regarding their musical identity. Recent releases have seen them treading the familiar path of progressive and melodic death metal, and the latest EP follows suit. While not inherently subpar, it fails to contribute anything novel to these well-established genres. The listening experience, though not objectionable, tends to be somewhat forgettable, with the music easily passing through one ear and out the other without leaving a lasting impact.

Listen to Stillness Is Timeless on Aathma and then listen to any song on this EP, what's the difference? The instrumentals are much more engaging compositions are infinitely more interesting. It felt like a death metal Dream Theater, the production was so crystal clear, the articulation marvelous, compositions fluid. A lot of the time the guitar just fades into the background in this EP which is absolutely criminal given Persefone's previous output with incredible lead playing, in every single release up to the disjointed clunker that was Metanoia. The vocals simply cannot carry this, they are not very good on any type of level.
