I just find it so tiring to listen to this band sometimes, although their musicianship and adherence to the stylistic cores are admirable. This also boasts some fantastic production that makes even the most meandering part rife with slimy doom gutsiness. But it is so often just that, slimy and boring to me. I eventually came away from this having loved the sound, but having forgotten the bulk of the songs immediately.

Spectral Voice confirm their spot as one of the top death doom dawgs. Beautiful doom tones accompany slightly-faster-than-funeral-doom slowness, dense growls and *that* OSDM cavernous atmosphere that the band masters. This one isn't as impacting as Eroded Corridors of Unbeing, but it nevertheless proves they're currently second to none.
