Their most metalcore release, full of breakdowns and melodick riffs. Not amazing, but a good ol' early 2010s melodic metalcore release that makes yo head bop.

A young metalcore band that reminds us all of old Misery Signals. While the songs are much shorter, they still contain clean breaks, mathy chug riffs, and gruff yet heartfelt vocals.

"Prophets" is the definitive answer to the entire transition that Melodic Hardcore has made in the last decade. Counterparts is the best band of the style currently, and i think this will hardly changes in a short time. At the launch of "Prophets", we could already see that the band was visionary and would look for other fields, always spandering their sound and seeking reference that enrich more what they were already doing. Nowadays, Counterparts has a sound so characteristic that with a song we already know that they are doing work with great quality.

Listened to their newer album first, which I liked better, slightly. Mainly the difference is I prefer the more thrashy hardcore compared the breakdown metalcore(which I do like). And this is top-notch stuff here; the breakdowns are more prevalent than "The Current Will Carry Us" but they are still well timed, and executed with melodic and interesting parts so they all feel different. I love this band !

Hardcore and metalcore coming together for one of the most hard hitting experiences I've encountered in a long time. Hopefully, the band can keep it going and advance forward in their career. For now though, 'Prophets' is a flawless album.
