A great slab of indie pop/rock this one, with that good ol' noughties emo vibe thanks to these arpeggios and slightly melancholic yet anthemic choruses.

Campos keep on being the band I musically appreciate after a while more than immediately, but even then I really do not feel comfortable with just how much this album mirrors me in life. Ugh

Apparently there is some big discourse around the veteran indie band's latest album, which comes seven years after their last effort. As someone who has never heard of this band until now, the indie ideas present on this album are solid and have good energy. But the ideas are not all that original and they are definitely tapping into a late 90s, early 2000s post-punk revival sound that feels as dated as you think it would. Definitely could be a grower through more listening, but I doubt I?ll come back to this.
