A part of me wishes they had struck a happy medium between the two versions of the record. For
example, Extinction kind of feels like a limp and incomplete conclusion to the album, but the
extended mix is so much better. Even still, this is a great project. Swan Song (either version)
goes incredibly hard. The title track is one of the best thing's they've ever recorded.

Extended mix of the title-track is the first thing in a hot minute I've heard from this band good enough to make me regret that it'll be entirely absorbed in their carcinogenic morass of an archival gimmick discog when they announce their next LP next week.
+ "Chang'e" packs a mean hook (extended mix *not* necessary)

- Tracks not named "The Silver Cord" or "Chang'e" very much exist
