Evolving into easily the best-sounding version of War of Ages, their sound had been stagnant
for a few albums until they released 'The Void,' which set a new standard for the direction
they wanted to pursue, ultimately leading to 'Dominion.' 'Dominion' not only cemented their
newly found sound but also refined it. It is heavier and features even more creative and
catchy guitar solos, making it distinctly different from bands like Polaris, Architects, and
their numerous clones.
It may not blow your mind away if you haven't listened to their previous work, but for long-
time listeners like me who have followed their music since its inception, it will be a
rewarding and pleasant surprise in how much the band has matured over the years. They are
undersdogs that deserve more credit for their perseverance and getting out of their comfort
zone.
