This is good, but i expected more after the masterpiece that is Celebrity Therapist. Less extreme parts and the weak, abrupt transitions sometimes kill the flow of the songs. The wild and unexpected segments themselves are also just less entertaining and feel somewhat out of place (e.g. the way too long rap(?) part in Turin).rOverall this is more accessible, but just less fun. I still enjoy it, but cant help feeling underwhelmed.r

The drummer going absolutely bonkers on 'Pushing the Pink Envelope' is the highlight but god the vocals are a chore to endure.

Ohh hell ya, this new Callous Daoboys EP might be one of the most spastic and expansive mathcore records in the modern era. The way the band experiments with these glitches that cut in and out from various other sounds (whether that be a breakbeat drum fill, a saxophone, a TV sample, the list is endless). I cannot wait to see what the band has instore with a new full-length album, because they put a lot of hard word into this and it definitely shows.

It has enough of their DNA and signature wackiness to still be fun, but we've reached BTBAM levels of lolrandom genre switches that start to feel a bit ridiculous and performative. Maybe that's the point, but it doesn't tough Celebrity Therapist for me.
