With this EP, Spiritbox doubled down on the ambience and electronic elements of their music. The production is very modern and full of layers to digest. Much to a lot of people's surprise, they kept their heavy moments. Some of their heaviest material to date is on this EP. However, this time, each song flows into the next and it feels much more like a cohesive whole. This is definitely a step up from Eternal Blue. Just wish it was longer.

A lot more varied and interesting than their full length, brings back some of the ambiance that got me into them in the first place. Plus the concept factor hits for me. I'm vibin on it.

I like the variety on this album. Some very heavy tracks, some others more atmospheric, but all recognizably Spiritbox. Their specific style has the potential to become stale over time, but they haven't hit that point yet for me.

Fantastic mix of some of the heaviest songs but also catchiest songs these guys have ever done. Somewhat to my surprise, they keep getting better and better, at a point where I honestly thought they would be going arena rock.

This band can't seem to do anything wrong - with impeccable instrumentation and vocals. And just when most thought that Spiritbox would push more to the mainstream, they release this EP with two huge bangers (Cellar Doors, Angels).

I have always found Spiritbox to be way more interesting on paper than in actuality. Much of their modern rendition of 90s alternative metal can sometimes come off as janky and uninspired. However, where the band always excels is when they release singles. ?The Fear of Fears? lead-up single was harrowing and jaw-dropping alternative metal and metalcore tracks that will have to want to get back into the mosh pit. However, the other tracks on this EP leave me wanting more. I believe there is a great set of tracks that the band could create, but for now, I will just continue to wait for that day.

Lol, top trending all week and no review? It's quite good. Wonderful mix of both their heavier and lighter sensibilities. The lyrics are kind of weird at a few points, particularly "Too Close/Too Late," like this is supporting a companion comic or something. And "Angel Eyes" doesn't standout much. Overall, though, this is a very enjoyable 25 minutes.
