Yeule seems as happy to still be here as I am
to hear this brilliant synth punk album, there
are so many facets here that evoke nostalgia
for their
early 2000s upbringing but soaked in
a ton of beautiful production choices and a
sense of inescapable dread, even on energetic
bangers. There are still glitches and vocal
modulation but it's all seemlessly rewoven into
slightly more traditional song structures.
Reminds me of Katamari damacy deftones and the
darkest type of hyperpop which is already
intrinsically dark. May yeule continue to cope
with life's hardships in beautiful ways. This
is industrial written from inside the machine.

my two favourite artists are following the same trend of having a 3 album discography, all of which are incredible, and the third of which is more shoegazey than the others and pretty much an instant all time classic. Alvvays and Yeule try not to make masterpieces challenge (difficulty impossible)

softscars is indeed softer and less glitchy than GlitchPrincess!!! It results in a record that often goes ball-to-the-wall in terms of emotional abrasiveness, just not as epically often as its predecessor.
