Absolutely still has that sound of the Faceless, but more much unique to them now, I would say. Classic (derivative?) technical death metal, but pretty much perfectly executed with a skill that makes this level of music rare. And it's extremely catchy!

I mean if you call their previous albums ?fresh and original?, you probably think this rules. It?s a buncha jumbled up tech death. Random and overbearing-synths, cleans and solos. Meh

Actually gave this a chance. Should not have
done that men. This is tech death at it's
worst and most watered down. Band sucks so
ahrd. Also why is everyone so hype for "The
Faceless II"??? The Faceless sucks just as
bad if not worse than this band. Jam some
Archspire or Beyond Creation and leave this
garbage alone men. m///

I like The Faceless a lot and had relatively high hopes for this but it's pretty bad... They
have a unique sound compared to a lot of other tech death bands but it just doesn't sound
that good.
Obviously tons of technical talent on display here and I dig the harsh vocals a lot but it
just doesn't make up for the songwriting unfortunately.

Technicality and catchiness is obviously on full display. Solid album but not much more than rthat. When they start experimenting with cleans and ripping off Necrophagist, that's where rthings fall apart 3.3/5
