come on sput stop gassing mid ass metalcore just because they?re talented and tight. At least 100 bands that could make this record. no interesting melodic ideas whatsoever despite the frequent need for stings 1-3. top it all off with some digitech for the kiddies and boom, you have an incredibly competent faceless mess that?s mathy for the sole purpose of being mathy

album's WHEEL = steering handle of 3rd hand toyota prius, slapped erratically and largely out of time by poxy 19 y/o in supermarket carpark, with this shit losing what little life it had to begin with to his dilapidated stereo.

he does not leave the car; his girlfriend is in the store doing the shopping.

given his taste in condiments, liquor, (radioactively white) bread, and just about everything else, she knows this is for the best.

Of all the C-tier support slot bands spawned by the Vein/Code Orange era of metalcore, Chamber are among the more competent. Not an album I'll return to just because it's kind of soulless and empty, but undeniably well played and well produced.

God forbid a metal band actually try to be original these days. Give these guys a cliche gold medal.

Classic mathcore that doesn?t innovate at all on the formula that Dillinger Escape Plan did for two decades is not a mathcore album for me. It?s a very mid-sounding record, from front to back with nothing that makes it stand out from the rest of the pack. The positives are that the recording is solid and everything sounds well mixed together, but still, it has a hard time sticking out.

Cool riffs and atmosphere, terrible song writing.

At times it feels like they have sacrificed the old fashioned groovy breakdown/riff for mind-pretzling, short burst time signature changes. Fun record regardless.

Slappity slapped my socks off, this goes way too hard.rEdit: didn't stick with me as hard as the first spins, but still a fun, relentless beating.

Old-school metalcore at its very best. Massive, emotional, brutal.

One of the most viscerally pissed off releases I've heard in a while. Front-to-back bangers, production is superb, memorable hooks, pacing is fantastic, lyrical content is intensely personal... this band has upped their game in the most ridiculously superb way

are we really gonna pretend we listen to math-y oooga booga core for the songwriting sput?

Bump

This is about as commonplace and bar for the course as -core goes, yet it inexplicably slaps to the point of convincing even a -core-jaded ole me that it be good indeed.
