this one sounds like they took their sound, heard oranssi pazuzu's last album and took that sound and made it half the centerpiece. equally psychadelic, oppressive, depressing and explosive

Lame tones, meandering song structures, no riffs that really stand out, weak and over-emphasized
vocals, PLUS a super abrupt ending completely unfitting for an album of this supposed scope?
Bleh. This band is really not all theyre cracked up to be, and they never were, either.

Incoherent and bleak. Without the drums, it'd have absolutely zero flow, just random riffs thrown together - I know it supposed to be avant-garde, but something feeling so random is a hard turn-off for me.

I love when black metal plays with time signatures and tempo, and I love when it manages not to lose sight of its melodic potential.

Hive Mind Narcosis is a creepy, dense dissoblack record whose force comes from its off-kilter change of pace. It does meander a tad too long (ie some riffs can stop after some iterations) but it's nevertheless pretty killer.

Look, I cannot for the life of me explain why, but this album isn't working for me. I loved
Sacred White Noise and Void Masquerading as Matter, but this one just feels either
incomplete or bloated. There are moments where I am immersed in the music, but I can't help
but be uninterested most of the time. I have listened to it like 6 times, trying to love it.
I wish I could give a definitive answer as to what's wrong.
