Don't know WHY it took me so long to listen to this album in its entirety - this has to be one of the best genre-hopping albums ever made, and has some of the best sampling I've ever heard, right up there with Paul's Boutique.

Second listen to this album, and even after listening most of the song to death, the album is still really great, all of the song are good,ect.. The whole album shows that Beck is not the one hit-wonder bc of Loser 4,6/5

Very rarely are the genre amalgamations ever jumbled on Odelay, Beck's fifth album. With its odd, yet thought-provoking lyrics and Beck's fantastic performance, this CD can almost be deemed a classic. But at the same time, I honestly believe some more earnest and somber tracks - alongside better artwork - would further improve the material inside and out.

Excellent album, it's very experimental, wild and yet POP. Much better than Mellow Gold yet on the same vibe. Such a wide variety of sounds instruments and noises will make you head explode

What an amazing album. Beck is truly a great and innovating experimenter: all the songs, blues, folk, hip hop, or even psych, are bended with some weird effects, strange electronic beats, or with unusual instruments. A masterpiece, one of the definite albums of the 90's.
