| 3.5 great | Trey STAFF | June 25th 23 | To me, these guys take everything Children of Bodom kind of pioneered and make it better. They start with the same Power metal meets extreme metal foundation as CoB, the same blazing solo style, the same guitar melody-driven song craft, and the same bouncy, upbeat, feel... but they do a few things different and.or better. What I like more about these guys, and this albun, is the deeper growls, the fatter riffs, and the more subdued keyboard usage. My favorite Kalmah release since 12 Gauge.

| 4.0 excellent | Lugia21220 | May 27th 23 | this is definitely the best Kalmah album in many many years. The unrelenting riffs are back with the infectious harmonization a la Swampsong. Love it.

| 4.5 superb | P1pari | May 27th 23 | I actually can't think of a better name for this album than just Kalmah. It's like a perfect culmination of their higher-pitched crazy keyboard-focused albums (Swamplord, They Will Return, Swampsong) and their latter, more "mature" albums (Black Waltz, Palo etc.). Amazing how consistent a band like this can be. 9 albums out, all bangers, some more than others, but anyway. Kalmah always delivers!

| 5.0 classic | ilies | May 27th 23 | Very good album. Definite look out for this one lately. The melody is sweeter than what the title 'metal' would give as an impression might say.

| 4.0 excellent | grandfather | November 28th 23 | In a genre that sometimes seems kinda shitty across the board, it's nice to have a couple of dependable legends that keep churning out good tracks. You've heard pretty much everything before but maaaaan those riffs are fun. Production is right on the money too.

| 3.5 great | Gary STAFF | June 27th 23 | Great Finnish melodeath release, especially strong on vocals (...so powerful!). It felt a little bit long though, however that was quite counterbalanced with the perfect amount of folkish elements in it. Might be a grower?
