My favorite album of all time. In my eyes, this is a flawless album. Rancid's ...And Out Come The Wolves is the perfect blend of punk and pop. Every song has a catchy hook, but can still maintain a punk sound. All members of Rancid were at the top of their game with this album. Tim Armstrong and Lars Frederiksen's dual vocals, Matt Freeman's unforgetable basslines, and the drum beats of Brett Reed all give this album a amazing and signature sound. This album is the gem of the 90's pop punk explosion. This is a must listen for any listener of pop punk or punk in general.

After releasing 2 somewhat unbalanced projects, Rancid finally struck their claim as punk rock elite with Out Come the Wolves. They did on an indy label too, despite pressure from the majors to sign. What came out of this is one of the best (and most well-produced) records of the 90?s, and a landmark pop-punk album. Tim?s memorable voice, along with Lars more hardcore, almost screaming vocals provide an excellent dynamic, and while they aren?t guitar virtuosos, they have a great ear for riffs, and there is enough variety in playing through the songs 19 tracks to keep the listener engaged. Matt Freeman is a wizard on the bass, carrying some tracks, but he is a little more reserved than on previous albums. Drums are well produced, and there is so nice kick to many of the tracks, especially in As Wicked. The band provides great energy on the pop punk and ska flavored tracks, and there are a trio of classic tracks on here: Ruby Soho, Roots Radical and Time Bomb. Other stand outs include The 11th Hour, Lock Step & Gone, Junkie Man, M.I.A., Automatic, U Don?t Care Nothing and As Wicked.

My all-time favourite album, for obvious reasons. It's the only album I've ever listened to that completely flawless, from start to finish. There isn't a single bad song on this album, and it's what got me into punk. Tim and Lars' dual vocals really help to bring out their punk-y spirit, while maintaining a certain degree of pop-like catchiness. Absolutely fantastic album.

Rancid has done as great job on this album. I'm glad it goes for more variety on the specials ska aspect. "Time Bomb" and "Ruby Soho" are a couple of those songs that has variety. It's one of those punk albums that makes you want to singing at the top of your lungs with your best friends. Excellent buy.

Really good for more modern day punk. Classic and 80's hardcore are much better, but the combination of 2 tone ska (from the remnants of Operation Ivy) and other tracks that resemble hardcore are very well done. Bass solo in Maxwell Murder is rediculous. I know only one person who could even attempt to play that quickly.

I know basically no one on sputnik listens to punk, but I would recommend this album to everyone. It's fun of just catchy and fun songs. While some people complain about the vocals, I think they're damn good and they're unique. One of my favorites.
