You can make fun of Rebecca Black all you want, but her music comeback is truly something spectacular. On her debut album finally, under her own power, she is flourishing with these alt-pop and various shades of dance-/electropop without over-saturating you. I can see where people may find this to be bland, but I am all aboard the gen-z pop trends and Rebecca Black is making some unique ideas within that style.

Rebecca Black played the fucking long game, huh? This is a good mishmash of current left-of-center pop tropes with a solid team behind it. This is fine, but it also feels really played out when it comes to this genre. As soon as the second track came in with nu metal sounding guitars and Britney Spears style vocals, it's just like, I have heard this before with more energy and excitement. And pretty much the whole album feels like that. In one ear, out the other. Maybe more listens will expose something special but I just felt bored most of it.
