On the aptly-titled Over-Nite Sensation, Zappa flirted with a commercial, accessible sound without sacrificing an ounce of musicality or intellectualism. I'm The Slime lays into television, while Montana lampoons entrepreneurialism and big business. The band is superb, particularly backing vocalists Tina Turner and the Ikettes. In his solos, Zappa lays down the tastiest wah-drenched, pentatonic licks ever committed to tape.
