At the doorstep of excellence. The Greek black metal veterans have finally presented something after a twelve years-long break with a very enjoyable modern melodic black metal release. The amazing catchy riffs are something really special (for example "When the Lights Went Out" is such an earworm like a Rotting Christ classic), but unfortunately the final product is not completely balanced. I'd say, especially the extra symphonic elements and choirs were absolutely unnecessay and discouraging... just like in the latest Dimmo Borgir releases: these elements are clearly not good and feel very kitschy. Unbalanced, but despite these flaws, it's a promising release.
