| 0.0 | didnt ask to be staff, was made staff anyway, then got demoted for not doing staff stuff | March 5th 24 | Nothingness make a gargantuan project that feels overwhelming by every metric, but somehow never really is. It should be too much, it should be exhausting, but it just is not. Matter of fact, it flows pretty effortlessly. Its riffs are dense, but memorable. Its atmosphere derivative, but captivating. Hell man, they just do a good job at this whole metal thing.

| 4.0 excellent | LukeDM | February 10th 23 | I'm tempted to rate this 4.5... It's really sunk its claws into me. I love the mid paced
filthy groove and the cavernous dissonance they toy with so aptly. There's an organic
variance in the music - it ebbs and flows rather nicely. You can tell that they focused on
songwriting very purposefully. The music remains engaging throughout the entire length. It's
my favorite release of 2023 so far and there's been a lot of good music already. Can't wait
for a vinyl release

| 3.5 great | Gary STAFF | January 27th 23 | Great and very balanced death metal album. It's punchy (f.e. "Temple of Broken Swords" is massive), but there is a more melody-centric side of this album too, like the quite death-doom-ish "Beacon of Loss". Even though it's not that savage and "sharp" as I expected: it's still a great record, though.

| 4.0 excellent | SatanicHispanicH8 | January 21st 23 | As a connoisseur of death metal, I was thoroughly impressed with Nothingness's second full-length album "Supraliminal." This Minneapolis-based band has truly outdone themselves with their skillful musicianship.rExemplified by the impressive guitar riffs that are both catchy and deadly, and the solid drum work by Jason Hirt, the band showcases their dedication to the craft. Additionally, the vocal performance by Barclay Olson adds a notable level of intensity to the overall listening experience.rAt over 40 minutes in length, the album never feels tedious, keeping the listener engaged from start to finish. The stand-out tracks, "Horrendous Incantation," "Temple of Broken Swords," "Festering Abstraction," and "Decimation Mechanism," are particularly noteworthy for their brutality, musicianship, and catchiness.rThe production of the album is top-notch, allowing all elements of the music to shine through. In conclusion, "Supraliminal" is a highly impressive release from Nothingness that will undoubtedly please fans of old-school death metal. It was released on January 20th 2023 by Everlasting Spew Records, and I highly recommend it with a rating of 4 out of 5 stars.
